Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking an OSP Supervisor to lead a team of field technicians and engineers in Jacksonville. This role oversees residential projects from assessment to scheduling and mentors staff to drive successful field operations.

This hands-on leadership position combines network architecture, troubleshooting, and splicing with day-to-day project management and field support, ensuring safety and quality across all projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a fiber construction environment.
• Advanced knowledge of underground and aerial construction techniques; proficient knowledge of optical networks.
• Clear understanding of fiber design, splicing matrix sheets, and documentation requirements.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screening, plus pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead field personnel administration, training, and development including hiring and performance improvement.
• Coordinate field surveys of existing or proposed outside plant installations (aerial/underground).
• Manage and coordinate outside plant construction using in-house and contract resources.
• Oversee troubleshooting and restoration of plant issues, defining root cause and fixes.
• Ensure QC standards, budget compliance, and OSHA/FCC/NCTA adherence across projects.
• Maintain readiness for on-call response and after-hours work during outages.
