Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, VA is seeking an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist at the Mid level to provide technical OSH and SMS support for federal clients. You will audit, review regulatory standards, and develop SOPs while communicating complex safety concepts to diverse stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years in OSH, strong regulatory knowledge, and ability to travel up to 75%. A Bachelor’s degree and CSP/CIH-like certification are preferred, with public trust eligibility likely

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with OSH, including auditing and assessing workplaces for compliance with OSHA standards.
• Experience with OSH regulatory and consensus standards such as 29 CFR 1910, 1926, and 1960, NFPA 70, 70E, and 101, and enterprise OSH policies/guidance.
• Experience with safety management systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Teams).
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to produce technical resources and reports within established timeframes and quality standards.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or Science.
• GSP/ASP/CSP/CIH Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide OSH and SMS support to federal clients.
• Conduct onsite audits/inspections for OSH program compliance and generate reports.
• Review/regulateOS H policy, SOPs, and guidance; develop SOPs.
• Organize and facilitate technical discussions on OSH topics.
• Deliver OSH training and analysis/reporting of OSH data.
