Job summary

Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute – Rock Hill is seeking a Surgical Tech III to serve as a dedicated OR scrub. Based at the Rock Hill ambulatory office, you will support orthopedic cases and travel to Pineville and Rock Hill facilities as needed.

Responsibilities include instrument prep, aseptic technique, inventory management, and mentoring teammates to ensure high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military training.
5 years of operating room experience as a surgical technologist.
Current CST certification and readiness to meet ST III qualifications.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates expertise in surgical techniques and required resources.
Functions as a highly motivated team member and accepts additional responsibilities.
Maintains knowledge of instruments, aseptic technique, and their use.
Prepares instrument sets for scheduled, add-on and emergency cases.
Cleans and prepares instruments for decontamination and sterilization.
Manages inventory, par levels, and orders supplies appropriately.
Coordinates care plans for surgical patients and anticipates needs.
Mentors teammates and supports education opportunities.
