Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room Pav M team. The role involves scrubbing for diverse procedures, maintaining the sterile field, and assisting with instrument preparation and counts under RN supervision.

The incumbent will transport patients, support sterile processing, and mentor students and junior staff in line with AORN standards. High school diploma and CST credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in scrub tech duties and instrument handling.
• Able to perform surgical counts under RN supervision.
• Mentor and precept surgical technologists and RNs.
• Knowledge of sterile processing standards and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for minor to complex procedures and assist with instrument passing.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure correct counts and labeling.
• Transport patients and specimens safely between areas.
• Assist with equipment prep, room turnover, and stock maintenance.
• Precept students and newer staff according to AORN standards.
