Plymouth, MA — Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is hiring a Surgical Technologist for a full-time day shift. You will support OR staff with planning, maintaining, and coordinating all operating room equipment, instruments, and materials, and provide training on equipment use.

Work with surgeon office staff, Central Sterile and outside vendors; participate in maintenance, instrument set protocols, and onboarding of new staff. On-call rotation is included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Surgical Technologist training program.
• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years related OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the OR staff through planning, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling all operating room equipment, materials and instruments.
• Provide training to OR staff on proper use of equipment.
• Work collaboratively with surgeon office staff, OR staff, Central Sterile staff and outside vendors.
• Carry out and coordinate routine and ad hoc maintenance and repairs to equipment.
• Function as a Surgical Technologist as needed and assigned.
• Onboard new staff and students, and participate in orientation rotations.
• Develop and maintain inventory par levels and review stock usage.
• Assist with instrument set protocols and revision as needed.
• Create and maintain equipment reference manuals and conduct in-service trainings.
