Job summary

Connecticut Green Bank is seeking a Senior Manager of Origination to build our EI investment pipeline, with a focus on organic waste management and related environmental infrastructure initiatives. You will drive sourcing, due diligence, structuring, closing, and ongoing management in close coordination with the Legal and Investment teams.

This hybrid role requires two days per week in Hartford or South Norwalk offices, occasional travel, and a salary range of $100,000–$170,000 with the state's

Qualifications

• Proven business development, lead generation, and origination experience, ideally in the organic waste management space.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting and closing complex investments or lending transactions, preferably related to environmental infrastructure, circular economy, or waste management.
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Originate, source, and lead transactions by screening investment opportunities and managing market solicitations.
• Conduct due diligence, analyses, assess risk, determine financing pathways, prepare investment materials, and manage the closing process.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of investible EI projects aligned with strategy and market development priorities.
• Develop relationships with prospective clients, project developers, consultants, and capital partners to identify financing opportunities.
• Support program development and provide reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• May supervise staff in the future and handle additional duties as assigned.
