The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus is seeking an Organ Recovery Specialist to coordinate the donor organ recovery process from offer through transplantation, ensuring efficient logistics and compliant operations.

You will lead onboarding, preservation, compliance, and team activities, provide on-call coverage for the transplant center, and liaise with surgeons, OPO partners, and clinical staff.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of relevant experience required.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates all aspects of the donor operation, including travel to and perfusion of deceased donor organs.
• Provides continuous on-call coverage for the transplant center for organ procurement.
• Leads onboarding, preservation, compliance, quality, and day-to-day operations.
• Communicates with attending physicians, fellows, surgeons, and OR staff to coordinate recipient operations.
• Develops and reviews policies and procedures related to OPTN and regulatory requirements.
