Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a dedicated Organ Recovery Specialist - Transplant Center to support the organ transplant process from offer to transplant. You will receive and screen organ offers, assist with primary offers, and stay on-call to coordinate procurement and OR logistics with the surgical team.

Responsibilities include communicating with attending physicians, fellows, the Pre-Transplant Coordinator, and the OPO, ensuring donor perfusion, and coordinating recipient operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating the organ transplant process from time of organ offer to time of transplant.
• Receive and screen organ offers from OPTN Contractor and assist with primary offers.
• Provide on-call assistance for organ procurement.
• Coordinate contact with attending physicians, fellows, Pre-Transplant Coordinator and host OPO.
• Coordinate donor operation logistics, including travel and perfusion of donor organs.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth recipient operations.
