Job summary

The Ohio State University’s University Hospital is seeking an Organ Recovery Specialist 3 to coordinate the organ transplant process from organ offer through transplant. The role requires high-level expertise in organ retrieval, will involve leading onboarding, preservation, and compliance tasks, and providing on-call coverage for the transplant center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of relevant experience required.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates organ transplant process from time of organ offer to time of transplant.
• Leads onboarding, preservation, compliance, quality, and day-to-day operations for the team.
• Maintains continuous on-call coverage for the transplant center and organ procurement.
• Communicates with Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), host OPO, attending physicians, and OR staff to coordinate logistics.
