Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a coordinator to assist with the organ transplant process from organ offer to transplant. The role includes receiving and screening organ offers, assisting with primary offers, and providing on-call support for organ procurement.

You will coordinate with the OPTN Contractor and host OPO, contact attending physicians and fellows, and work with OR staff to ensure smooth recipient operations and logistics for the transplant team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
• A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating the donor organ offers and recipient logistics.
• Provide on-call assistance for organ procurement.
• Communicate with host Organ Procurement Organization (OPO), attending physicians, fellows and OR staff.
• Coordinate transportation for the procurement team.
• Support donor operation logistics and perfusion coordination.
