Zusammenfassung

Ursa Major is seeking an Ordnance Engineer to lead design, development, qualification, and procurement of ordnance systems for solid rocket motor applications. You will serve as SME for ordnance components across concept to flight qualification and production support.

The role requires deep knowledge of initiators, safe-and-arm devices, ignition strings, and stage separation mechanisms, with a DoD Secret clearance being highly preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Aerospace/Mechanical/Chemical).
• Minimum 5+ years in aerospace ordnance, energetic materials, or ignition systems.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-1901, MIL-STD-1576, MIL-DTL-23659 and RCC 319.

Aufgaben

• Lead design, development and qualification of ordnance components for SRM applications.
• Author specs, SOWs, ICDs and interface with ordnance suppliers.
• Prepare test plans and reports; oversee environmental and energetic firing tests.
• Lead RCCA investigations and risk analyses; ensure safety compliance.
