Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Orbital Analyst for the Schriever Space Base, CO site. The Senior Specialist, Systems Engineering will support satellite SSA activities, develop orbit trajectories, and work with tools like Freeflyer, STK, and MATLAB to provide mission-ready insights.

The role emphasizes system engineering integration, collaboration with software teams, and potential 24/7 operations. A TS/SCI clearance and relevant degrees with years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; Graduate Degree with 4 years; or 10 years in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms, models, and analyses for orbit determination and trajectory design.
• Create simulations and analysis tools to support national security space activities.
• Collaborate with software teams to implement models and deliver capabilities to users.
• Lead aspects of projects under guidance of senior personnel.
• Be prepared for 24/7 crew operations on a rotating schedule if needed.
