The role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program, certification, CPR/BLS, dental X-ray license, and strong organizational and communication skills to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program.
• Certification as a Surgical Assistant.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT).
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances.
• Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeon before, during, and after procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare surgical trays and instruments; autoclave and maintain infection control protocols.
• Take X-rays and enter EMR notes for appointments and procedures.
• Schedule appointments, greet patients, and provide clear patient consultations.
• Support patient comfort and safety through pre-op setup and post-anesthesia care.
