Beacon Oral Specialists is seeking a diligent Surgical Assistant II in Charleston, SC, to support the oral surgeon before, during, and after procedures. The role requires strong organization, attention to patient needs, and solid knowledge of oral surgery procedures.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, room setup, patient monitoring, and EMR documentation, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program.
• Certification as a Surgical Assistant.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeon before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare surgical trays and maintain instruments and equipment.
• Autoclave operation and instrument cleaning per protocols.
• Take X-Rays and enter EMR notes for appointments.
• Provide patient care and monitor post-anesthesia patients.
• Review charts and assist with patient consultations.
• Support room setup and IV anesthesia procedures.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
