Job summary

Church & Dwight is seeking a Senior Research Chemist to independently lead research projects that may entail the development of new formulations or improving existing products to meet customer needs and regulatory standards. A strong background in oral care and consumer goods chemistry is essential.

Based in Princeton, NJ, this hybrid role requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related disciplines is required.
• 5+ years of laboratory experience is required.
• Oral Care formulation experience is required.
• Experience with FDA OTC products is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze consumer feedback, identify needs and gaps, and prepare summary reports.
• Propose technology development programs based on consumer research and feasibility.
• Conduct bench-top formula development of personal care products in oral and/or skin care.
• Design and execute experiments and collect data.
• Report results and make data-based recommendations to management.
• Lead RD projects across the RD function and coordinate with cross-functional partners.
• Ensure FDA regulated OTC product lab procedures are followed.
