Job summary

Aspire Systems is seeking an experienced Oracle Retail Xstore Developer with 8 years of retail technology experience to design, customize, and maintain Oracle Retail Xstore POS applications. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable retail POS solutions and support store operations.

The role involves implementing integrations, participating in code reviews, and providing L3 production support while contributing to deployment

Qualifications

• Handson experience in Software development with at least 5+ years in Oracle Retail Xstore POS.
• Strong experience in: Oracle Retail Xstore Office and Xstore POS Java/J2EE Spring Framework XML, XSD Web Services (SOAP/REST)
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Retail integrations and customizations.
• Strong knowledge of retail POS transaction lifecycle and store operations.
• Experience with: Oracle Database SQL and PL/SQL Linux/Unix environments Git, SVN, or similar version control tools
• Understanding of payment processing, promotions, returns, exchanges, omnichannel fulfillment, and loyalty programs.
• Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Oracle Retail Xstore applications.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and enhance POS functionalities, workflows, and user interfaces.
• Implement integrations between Xstore and retail systems such as: Payment gateways Loyalty platforms Inventory and merchandising systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and application defects.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Support POS deployments, upgrades, patches, and rollout activities.
• Create technical design documents, unit test cases, and deployment documentation.
• Collaborate with QA teams for testing and defect resolution.
• Provide L3 support for critical production incidents.
