Job summary

ITC Federal, LLC seeks a Senior Oracle Developer/DBA to lead the design, development, and optimization of Oracle databases for DEA mission-critical systems. The role bridges application development and database infrastructure, delivering scalable data structures and high-performing code in a federal environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Engineer/Developer/DBA.
• Hands-on with Oracle 23ai/26ai architecture and features.
• Experience designing and managing Oracle Pluggable Databases (PDBs).
• Extensive data modeling using ER/Studio or Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler.
• 7–10 years in large, complex SQL development, PL/SQL, and modern Oracle IDEs.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle Internals, execution plans, indexing, and OEM tuning.
• Experience with data integration, metadata management, and analytical data stores.
• Active Secret clearance (and ability to obtain DEA Public Trust).

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and develop Oracle database systems for DEA missions.
• Lead multitenant architecture using PDBs within CDBs.
• Tune complex SQL queries; optimize execution plans and use modern Oracle features.
• Mentor application teams on SQL best practices and PL/SQL optimization.
• Collaborate with data architects on logical/physical models.
• Assist with metadata management and resolving semantic conflicts across sources.
• Participate in data archiving, lifecycle management, and decommissioning.
• Maintain security posture per federal DEA controls and patch management.
