FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a senior Database Administrator to design, configure, and manage enterprise-level databases from a remote position that requires residence within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location in the continental US.

You will lead data architecture, ensure security and performance, and mentor junior staff. The role demands expert DBA capabilities, strong collaboration with stakeholders, and a drive for delivering compliant, scalable solutions across multiple initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS or equivalent.
• 4+ years in IT/Engineering with focus on DBA.
• Expert knowledge of all data administration phases.
• Proficiency in DB design, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Strong data security, backup, and recovery knowledge.
• Ability to manage large projects with minimal oversight.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.

Responsabilidades

• Act as lead liaison among stakeholders, development teams, and support groups.
• Design and implement database solutions for performance, scalability, and security.
• Define and enforce standards for storage, maintenance, access, and security.
• Configure database parameters and manage repositories, dictionaries, and warehousing requirements.
• Perform and oversee backup and recovery operations using DBMS.
• Provide expert consultation across major projects.
• Coach and mentor junior database administrators.
• Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies.
