Job summary

Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to provide database administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, development support, and operational support for a federal customer’s enterprise database environment. This role is 100% remote, working hours are based on Eastern Time.

The Senior Oracle DBA will serve as a SME supporting Oracle database technologies in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications

8+ years of database administration experience.
Advanced Oracle database administration experience.
Experience with Oracle Grid, RMAN, PL/SQL, HA/DR, monitoring, tuning, patching, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional technical teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise Oracle database environments.
Create, configure, and manage standalone Oracle databases.
Support Oracle Grid environments and high-availability technologies.
Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery with RMAN.
Perform installations, upgrades, maintenance, and patching.
Maintain HA/DR capabilities and monitor performance.
Diagnose issues and perform SQL performance tuning.
Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts and automation.
Document changes and respond to incidents and RFCs.
Provide technical leadership during complex incidents and RCAs.
