Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced Database Administrator IV to support a large-scale enterprise environment with Oracle, DB2, Oracle E‑Business Suite, and PostgreSQL across Linux, Windows, and Mainframe platforms. The role emphasizes high availability, security patching, and production support in a 24x7 setup.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Oracle production DBA experience, DB2 experience, and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment with initial onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Thirteen to twenty years of IT experience supporting enterprise database environments.
• Minimum six years of Oracle Production DBA experience.
• Minimum four years of IBM DB2 Production DBA experience.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, RMAN, OEM, and Oracle Database installation, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite and PostgreSQL in enterprise productions.
• Strong SQL, database optimization, and query tuning skills.
• Experience across Linux, Windows, and Mainframe database environments; on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support large-scale Oracle Database production environments.
• Install, upgrade, patch, secure, and remediate vulnerabilities for Oracle RDBMS on Linux.
• Manage and support IBM DB2 databases across Mainframe, Linux, and Windows.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, capacity planning, and health monitoring.
• Support and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite, including installation and troubleshooting.
• Administer PostgreSQL databases in enterprise production environments.
• Manage Oracle RAC clusters, RMAN backups, OEM, and high-availability configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex database performance and availability issues; provide 24x7 production support.
• Document procedures and mentor junior team members; participate in on-call rotations.
