Job summary

TekSynap seeks an Infrastructure Database SME Lead at Fort Belvoir to govern Oracle database infrastructure, ensure stability, and drive performance improvements. You will provide senior technical direction, oversee security practices, and guide engineers across projects within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include leading upgrades, DR design, and cross-team collaboration to meet mission-critical needs with minimal downtime and assured compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 10+ years in Oracle database administration and infrastructure management.
• DoD 8570 Baseline II certifications such as CCNP Security, CySA, GICSP, GSEC, GCIH, Security+, CND or SSCP.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 19c+ preferred.
• Experience in regulated DoD or Federal Oracle environments.
• Proven leadership of Oracle database infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Strong Oracle DB server administration including backup/recovery and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of Oracle database infrastructures for scalability and performance.
• Provide technical leadership to DBAs and engineers, mentoring team members.
• Develop and maintain database standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and optimization for optimal resource use.
• Lead upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime and risk.
• Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements and regulatory needs.
