Job summary

ALLTECH CONSULTING SVC INC. is seeking an experienced Database Engineer with strong Oracle expertise and Linux administration experience. You will install, configure, upgrade, patch, monitor, and tune Oracle databases while supporting application teams in production environments.

The role emphasizes designing and maintaining databases, deploying SQL patches, automating routine operations, and troubleshooting performance or availability issues. Redis or NoSQL familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, upgrading, patching, and maintaining Oracle components (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, Partitioning).
• Experience with replication technologies such as Oracle GoldenGate or HVR, including setup and failover support.
• Linux experience required; scripting experience using Python, Shell, or Go; Redis/NoSQL familiarity is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, security, DR, data integrity, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, tune, implement, upgrade, and patch database management systems and components.
• Write, test, and deploy SQL patches, database programs, and scripts to support reliable operations.
• Monitor databases, review logs and reports, and resolve issues affecting performance or availability.
• Provide guidance to application teams and advocate for system improvements.
