We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer with strong Oracle expertise and hands‑on Linux administration skills. In this role, you will install, configure, upgrade, patch, monitor, and tune database platforms while supporting application teams and production environments. You will help design and maintain databases, develop and deploy SQL patches, automate routine operations, and troubleshoot performance or availability issues. The ideal candidate works accurately under time-sensitive conditions, pays close attention to detail, and takes initiative in identifying ways to improve systems and processes. Experience with Redis or other NoSQL databases is beneficial.
Qualified candidates bring practical experience installing, upgrading, patching, and maintaining Oracle components and technologies, including RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, and Partitioning. You should be able to analyze database performance, monitor queries, and apply platform-specific tuning. Experience with schema creation, deployment, maintenance, and auditing configuration is important. You will need to understand backup, recovery, refresh, security, disaster recovery, data cleansing, data integrity, and access controls. Knowledge of database space and storage, object management, physical layout, rollback segments, and temporary space management is also valuable. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, documentation, communication, and prioritization skills are essential.

Maintain existing database programs and help design new databases to meet business, storage, access, and capacity needs.
Monitor database platforms and related systems, reviewing work processes, users, system logs, alerts, traces, locks, disk space, and operational reports. Identify and resolve issues affecting functionality, performance, availability, or data integrity. Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to detect concerns and help ensure databases and support systems operate effectively. Troubleshoot installation and platform-specific problems, debug scripts and programs, and carry out database recovery following log‑full events, system crashes, or other incidents.
Support production uptime and service‑level requirements through backup and recovery, refreshes, performance tuning, security controls, routine maintenance, defect analysis, and disaster recovery readiness. Configure and maintain auditing and audit trails. Provide guidance and timely support to application teams, process work accurately, and respond with urgency when production needs arise. Proactively recommend system and process improvements, and collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external stakeholders.
