Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator and Engineer to manage, maintain, optimize, and secure enterprise database environments. This role combines database administration with engineering responsibilities, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, automation, and support for business-critical applications.

• Configure and support database replication and high-availability solutions, including Oracle Data Guard where applicable.
• Implement database security, user access controls, auditing, and encryption practices.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, migrations, and environment changes.
• Develop scripts to automate routine administration and maintenance tasks.
• Support developers with SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, and database integration.
• Monitor database health and resolve incidents affecting application performance.
• Maintain database documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and cloud teams.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture and administration.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
• Knowledge of database performance diagnostics and tuning.
• Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, or other high-availability technologies as required by the environment.
• Experience with Linux or Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Understanding of database security, auditing, and access management.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other cloud database services is an advantage.

Education and Experience
