Job summary

ELEVI seeks a seasoned Database Engineer with a DoD DBE background to join our Maryland team. You will design, implement, and optimize large-scale database solutions for complex programs, ensuring data integrity and performance across environments.

This role requires a current Poly clearance, 10 years of DBE experience on similar contracts, and a technical degree. Oracle expertise, Linux experience with Bash scripting, and a willingness to mentor junior staff are essential; Mongo experience is a

Qualifications

• Poly clearance required.
• 10 years of DBE experience in programs/contracts of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of additional DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Extensive experience with installation and patching associated with Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard.
• Linux OS, Linux Commands, Bash Scripting.
• Nice to have: Mongo experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities.
• Support the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts.
• Support the development of long and short term requirements for database administration and design.
• Assist in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
• Translate requirements into a usable database schema by creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros, updating existing queries, creating new ones.
• Assist in developing database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development.
• Lead development of database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development.
• Lead development of databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
• Develop requirement recommendations from a project inception to its conclusion for a particular Business and IT subject area.
• Direct the overall database structure that fits into the architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, users, distribution, and security.
