Job summary

Reflexive Concepts seeks a skilled Database Engineer in Maryland to design, develop, implement, and optimize database systems for complex data environments. You will work with relational and object-oriented databases, data flows, and cloud methodologies, ensuring secure storage and efficient retrieval.

The role focuses on end-to-end lifecycle from requirements through system acceptance testing, using SQL/ODBC and modern tools to deliver robust data solutions for our programs.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience as a Database Engineer in similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II.

• Build databases and related tooling, including parsing and loading software; optimize performance, security and scalability.

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our team! Provides technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis. Develops relational and/or object-oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software, and projects long-range requirements for database administration and design. Develops a database structure that fits the overall system architecture, balancing data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, and security and domain controls. Works primarily at the front end of the lifecycle (requirements through system acceptance testing and IOC) and builds complex systems using queries, tables, ODBC, and database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologies.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience as a Database Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
• Five (5) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with installation and patching associated with Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard
• Linux OS, Linux commands, and Bash scripting
