Job summary

The role combines strong program management with deep technical engagement across optical, mechanical, electrical, reliability, manufacturing, and supplier teams. It requires 8+ years of leadership in high-tech settings and a Masters in a related field.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a related technical field.
• 8+ years of technical program management in a high-tech environment.
• Strong background in optoelectronics and photonics.
• Experience with laser diodes, pump lasers, fiber coupling, and optical modules.
• Solid understanding of product development lifecycles (prototype to manufacturing).
• Ability to lead technical discussions and challenge assumptions.
• Experience with structured program management methodologies.
• Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and global teams.
• Excellent technical communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex optoelectronic development programs from concept through manufacturing release.
• Drive NPI program execution across R&D, reliability, operations, quality, and suppliers.
• Maintain schedules, milestones, risks, and critical path.
• Coordinate execution across global engineering teams and partners.
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation to closure.
• Facilitate data-driven engineering decisions across cross-functional teams.
• Support design tradeoffs on optical performance, thermal behavior, and cost.
• Conduct program reviews for design maturity and manufacturing readiness.
• Track qualification activities and customer requirements.
• Present status updates to executive leadership and customers.
