Job summary

Molex seeks a Principal Design Quality Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and manufacturability of next-generation optical transceivers across the product lifecycle. You will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to drive robust designs and effective risk management.

The role emphasizes design assurance methodologies, FMEA, and leadership in reliability and corrective actions to achieve world-class field performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in quality, reliability, product, or design engineering.
• Strong understanding of optical components and transceiver manufacturing processes.
• Experience with FMEA, risk management, reliability testing, RCA, and design verification/validation.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality planning and best practices across the product lifecycle.
• Lead FMEA, risk assessments, and Design for Reliability activities.
• Provide leadership for reliability, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
• Review design changes, component qualifications, and manufacturing readiness decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on quality requirements.
