Tierra is seeking an Optimization Engineer to develop and deploy optimization solutions for short‑term opportunities in day‑ahead, intraday, and real‑time energy markets across multiple US markets. You will focus on battery dispatch, bidding optimization, and revenue enhancement while delivering environmental benefits.

The role requires deep understanding of power systems, 5+ years in energy or related engineering, and strong Python and optimization experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in energy industry or related engineering role with hands-on software deployment.
• 3+ years writing software in Python, and using LP/MIP/Convex optimization for dispatch optimization.

Aufgaben

• Develop and refine optimization models for short-term battery dispatch and bidding across US power markets.
• Monitor market prices and rule changes to identify optimization opportunities and improve bidding/dispatch strategies.
• Collaborate with data scientists and other engineers to enhance performance and revenue.
