Job summary

Entegro seeks a Senior Optical Network Migration Engineer to lead large-scale migration projects in legacy Infinera DWDM environments. You will access the DNA NMS to extract data, analyze performance, and craft migration strategies and MoP documents.

The role requires hands-on experience with Infinera platforms, live migration execution during maintenance windows, and strong collaboration with customers and project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within carrier-grade optical transport networks.
• Hands-on experience with Infinera optical transport platforms and the Legacy Infinera DNA NMS.
• Ability to extract, interpret and analyse network configuration, inventory, service and traffic data.
• Experience producing migration strategies, MoP documentation and implementation plans.
• Strong understanding of optical transmission principles, fibre technologies and network performance analysis.
• Proven experience performing traffic profiling and analysing service utilisation to support migration planning.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently within live production environments and communicate effectively with customers, project managers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Network Discovery & Analysis: Extract network inventory, configurations and service information from Infinera DNA Platform; profile traffic and map dependencies.
• Migration Planning: Develop detailed MoP, rollback plans and sequencing for migration waves to minimise customer impact.
• Migration Delivery: Execute remote migrations during planned maintenance, perform pre/post-validation and resolve issues.
• Optical Network Engineering: Analyse power, OSNR, dispersion, amplification and path integrity; support ROADM architectures.
• Migration Experience: Manage live, carrier-grade migrations including validation and handover.
• Educational Requirements: Emphasize essential skills and hands-on experience in optical networks.
• Key Deliverables: Produce reports, MoP, migration plans, and customer handover documents.
