Job summary

General Motors is seeking an expert Engineer for the Advanced Optical Sensor Team (Camera and LiDAR) to lead development testing of optical components for AV/ADAS features. You will specify requirements, evaluate designs, and manage testing of camera and LiDAR sensors across multiple projects with high technical demands.

You will interact with R&D, software, validation, HMI, and suppliers to advance imaging technology and ensure robust performance, quality, and reliability in next-generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, CS or chemistry and 3+ years of related experience.
• 3+ years' development or lab testing of automotive camera systems.
• Experience with GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs, FPAs, ISPs, and lenses.
• Knowledge of ML and computer vision, image de-warping and stitching.
• Proficient in Matlab/Python/C++ and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test AV/ADAS cameras and LiDAR technologies for vehicle applications.
• Lead test development, evaluation, and benchmarking of imaging components.
• Collaborate with R&D, software, validation, and suppliers to deliver imaging solutions.
• Create test tools and procedures for evaluating imaging technologies.
• Document performance analyses and test methodologies for lab equipment.
