Job summary

Celgard, LLC in Concord is seeking an Optical Inspection Technician to join the Quality team. Optical inspection is integral to manufacturing and helps monitor upstream extrusion and lamination processes.

You will report to the Quality Manager and lead training for floor optical support technicians, ensuring procedures are current and effective. The role requires manufacturing experience and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; AS in engineering or engineering technology preferred.
Manufacturing experience required.
Experience as electrician or electronic technician with troubleshooting skills preferred.
Experience using multimeters.
Experience reading schematics.
Experience writing training documents and SOPs using Microsoft Word required.
Experience analyzing data using pivot tables and charts using Microsoft Excel or equivalent.
Visual Studio programming knowledge preferred.
3+ years with optical inspection systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop quality tests procedures, SOPs and SOCs for FSM Optical Systems.
Keep all FSM Department quality tests, SOPs & SOCs, troubleshooting guides updated.
Conduct training of floor optical support technicians, including new/changed procedures.
Provide advanced troubleshooting beyond the troubleshooting guide, including after hours support.
Maintain optical inspection systems through routine maintenance, calibration, and alignment checks.
Create optical inspection settings for development film; data analysis will be required.
Collaborate with Process engineers on process monitoring improvement activities.
Periodic review of the optical inspection records database to ensure proper data entry & corrections.
Perform quality investigations using archived optical inspection data; interpret results and provide solutions.
