Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Readiness Engineer to define and mature manufacturing processes for precision optical components and laser delivery assemblies. The role blends manufacturing engineering, tooling design, and floor support in a high-precision environment.

You will own MOMs/BOMs, author work instructions, manage change controls, and collaborate with optical and design engineering to drive quality and throughput across production and machine shop.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in optical/optical-mechanical or advanced precision manufacturing.
• Experience with FMEA, fault tree, DOE and process planning tools.
• Experience introducing new technologies and equipment to production.
• Design of fixtures and tooling for cleanroom environments; CAD literacy.

Responsibilities

• Drive product quality and yield; identify issues and implement solutions.
• Lead manufacturing engineering for MOMs, BOMs, and change control.
• Create and maintain work instructions and inspection plans.
• Support NCR/CAPA, nonconformances, and line-down events.
• Champion safety and ensure adherence to EHS policies.
