Job summary

The role requires mentoring engineers, driving improvements, and partnering with Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing to meet product goals. You will own process development, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement SPC/CI programs while supporting capacity planning and transfer from R&D to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, or Laser Engineering; MS/PhD preferred and may substitute for experience.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of optics, OCT or swept-source lasers, MEMS devices, or optoelectronic device processing.

Responsibilities

• Define materials, equipment, and tooling to meet manufacturing goals and specs.
• Drive efficiency by analyzing layout, workflow, and assembly methods.
• Develop work instructions and train engineers and direct labor on processes.
• Lead yield and performance improvement across modules and product families.
• Serve as technical authority for root cause analysis and establish scalable process controls.
