Job summary

Apple Inc. Health Sensing HW team is seeking a sensing system EE architect to design, develop, and launch next-generation optical health sensing technologies.

You will be the main EE architect for the sensor system, guiding cross-functional teams and driving design convergence from proof-of-concept to mass production. Responsibilities include architecture studies, collaboration with optical and electrical engineering teams, and leadership of prototype builds, qualification, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience in EE, optics, or related fields.
• Strong analog and mixed-signal design fundamentals.
• Schematic/PCB layout and component selection experience.
• Experience in sensor product design, manufacturing, or integration.
• Scripting experience for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and trade-off sensor system requirements and EE architecture.
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams on sensor module design.
• Lead proof-of-concept hardware design, prototype builds, and mass production qualification.
• Lead failure analysis and corrective action at manufacturing sites including yield and post-reliability failures.
• Document design and test requirements and support travel up to 10%.
