Job summary

Gooch & Housego PLC is seeking a Senior Manager, Optical Fabrication in Fremont to lead optical fabrication and coating operations, drive safety and quality, and improve yield and throughput. You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Facilities and Maintenance to sustain growth and scale capabilities.

The role requires 10+ years in precision optics manufacturing and 7+ years in leadership, with deep experience in lean and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience in precision optics or photonics.
• 7+ years in manufacturing leadership, with responsibility for production teams.
• Strong Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, CAPA or related continuous-improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across optical fabrication and coating operations, setting safety, quality, yield and delivery priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement, capacity planning, and readiness for new product introductions.
• Develop leaders, coach teams, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
