Desired candidates have 6+ years in senior roles with hands-on experience, strong GD&T and laser safety knowledge, and proven ability to lead projects from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Optical/Mechanical Engineering or related field (required).
• 3+ years in Optical or Opto-Mechanical Systems Design (6+ years for Senior).
• Experience with optical design/analysis software (Zemax or CODE V).
• SolidWorks experience for mechanical CAD.
• Hands-on prototyping, aligning, calibrating, or troubleshooting optical/laser systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and document optical/opto-mechanical systems and components.
• Create test plans and validate designs.
• Maintain optical layout drawings and calibration procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers for optical components.
• Support end-of-life management of optical components.
• Provide optical engineering support across teams.
• Lead system integration and validation.
