The role blends technical leadership with hands-on engineering and mentorship across teams. Expect to guide multi-year capacity roadmaps, evaluate vendors, and drive integration with network architecture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical field.
• 5+ years of network engineering experience with 3+ years in DWDM/optical transport.
• Strong IP/MPLS knowledge in packet-optical or converged core.

Responsibilities

• Design ROADM-based DWDM topologies and specify coherent transponders for 100G/400G services.
• Own end-to-end design of DWDM and optical transport solutions with architecture partner alignment.
• Coordinate with vendors and perform RFx processes and trials.
