You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers to ensure feasibility, performance, and manufacturability in CBC‑enabled platforms. The role requires a BS in Optics with 7+ years, hands‑on experience with interferometry, Zemax, and MATLAB/Python, plus strong communication and ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Optics (MS/PhD preferred) with at least 7 years’ experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in design, manufacture, and assembly of optical systems/optical components/micro‑optics.
• This position is in the United States and ITAR restrictions apply; US persons only.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical design on cross‑functional projects with input from mechanical, electronic, and industrial engineers.
• Interact with customers to determine optical feasibility and budget for CBC/phase‑controlled architectures.
• Design, configure, build, and validate optical test setups including coherent combining and phase‑locking behavior.
• Develop assembly methods for micro/ macro‑optical assemblies for prototype and volume manufacturing.
• Analyze test data and generate reports on coherent combining efficiency, phase error budgets, and stability.
