Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in Wytheville, VA seeks a General Operations Manager to lead branch operations, sales and production for our residential construction client base.

The role emphasizes servant-leader management, vendor and subcontract coordination, and driving production and sales processes in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be familiar with the Wytheville/Tri-Cities area, possess strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing

Qualifications

• Knowledge of custom residential construction and production building (multiple homes)
• Strong leadership and servant-leader management style
• Ability to recruit, hire, train, mentor and supervise employees, subs and vendors
• Proven ability to review leads, budgets, contracts and P&L, and coordinate with leadership

Responsibilities

• Review new leads with Sales Team
• Approve budgets and review advertising
• Weekly updates with Division President
• Monitor sales pipeline, starts, warranty and settlements
• Negotiate contracts and hire subs and suppliers
• Oversee overhead costs and branch P&L
• Address customer concerns and communicate resolutions
• Plan reviews and job inspections as needed
• Recruit/hire/train/mentor/supervise staff and vendors
• Networking with local vendors/subs to acclimate operations
