Job summary

Phenomenex, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Manager, Operations to lead day-to-day manufacturing at the El Dorado Hills, CA site and deliver safe, compliant, high-quality products aligned with demand and budgets.

You will champion Danaher Business System, lean manufacturing, and daily management, while partnering with EHS, Facilities, Supply Chain, Quality, and HR to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in business, engineering or related field plus 2 years of people management experience or 8+ years of related work with 2+ years of people management.
• 5+ years’ experience in Gas Chromatography Instrumentation and separations with knowledge of GC column production.
• Knowledge of ISO9001:2008 Standards and Lean principles.
• Experience in production planning, capacity and cost management, quality systems and cross-functional operations.
• Experience in planning, operation processes including supply chain, cost management and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production plans and on-time delivery.
• Translate objectives into targets, visual management, standard work, and accountability.
• Optimize capacity, labor, equipment, materials, and workflow with cross-functional partners.
• Resolve nonconformances, deviations, CAPAs, and audit findings with Quality and Regulatory.
• Manage departmental spending, headcount, overtime, and other operating costs.
