Job summary

Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County (CP Nassau) seeks an accomplished, mission-driven Assistant Executive Director/COO to join the executive leadership. Working closely with the CEO, the COO will provide leadership across key agency areas, strengthen operations and help shape the organization's future.

This senior leader will guide programs, staff and governance partnerships, advance quality, financial stewardship and data-driven decisions, and translate vision into action in a complex

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a human services, business, management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible administrative and leadership experience.
• Demonstrated nonprofit and/or human services operations experience.
• Proven ability to lead senior managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Visionary leadership and ability to translate vision into action.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational guidance to the Executive Director/CEO and senior team.
• Supervise and develop senior managers and promote accountability across departments.
• Help formulate and implement organizational policies and initiatives.
• Lead multiple projects with clear goals and timelines.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with CEO and CFO on budget development and planning.
• Participate in personnel decisions and staff development.
• Build relationships with Board, families, stakeholders, and government partners.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory and healthcare/human services trends.
