Job summary

Riverside Research seeks a Senior Remote Sensing Engineer to support National Air and Space Intelligence Center mission areas involving infrared sensing, space-based missile warning systems, sensor modeling, advanced data exploitation, and algorithm development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EO/IR systems engineering, infrared phenomenology, OPIR data analysis, and software development for sensor exploitation, with experience collaborating with government, industry, and

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Engineering, Space Systems, or related field.
12+ years in EO/IR systems engineering, OPIR analysis, or related areas.
Experience with OPIR data formats and SBIRS exploitation tools.

Responsibilities

Analyze, exploit, and model infrared and OPIR sensor data including SBIRS.
Develop and test data processing algorithms in Python, MATLAB, and other environments.
Investigate sensor phenomenology and develop test plans or experiments to address detection/tracking challenges.
Evaluate data processing workflows and coordinate remediation of anomalies or software issues.
Support CONOPS, white papers, and technical documentation and transition plans for sensing capabilities.
Collaborate with NASIC, DoD stakeholders, and external partners to integrate sensing technologies.
