Job summary

SightMD is seeking a Senior Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians in delivering high-quality eye care across multiple clinics. You will manage patient flow, perform pre-exam testing, assist with procedures, document in the EMR, and coordinate prior authorizations while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

This is a Monday–Thursday 8AM–4PM and Friday 7AM–3PM schedule within SightMD's ophthalmology network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Proficient with EMR and clinic documentation practices.
• Eligible for COA and OSC certifications or already certified.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients and families to ensure a positive experience.
• Perform comprehensive pre-exam testing and assist during exams.
• Document encounters, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Coordinate prior authorizations and maintain HIPAA compliance.
