Job summary

Aimlroles is seeking a motivated scientist/engineer to join the Applied Research team focusing on Corneal Health technologies. You will design and translate corneal imaging and elastography methods, develop robust pipelines, and collaborate across hardware, software, and regulatory teams.

The role emphasizes experimental system development, signal processing, and biomechanical modeling, aiming to advance next‑generation ophthalmic medical devices for clinical impact.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5–8+ years in biomechanical imaging, elastography, or quantitative analysis.
• Experience with regulated medical devices is a strong plus.
• Strong programming skills in Python; C++/C# are a plus.
• Familiarity with medical imaging and clinical translation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop current and next‑gen ophthalmic devices from research to translational development.
• Develop and evaluate corneal imaging modalities and elastography with rigorous performance analysis.
• Build and optimize biomechanical imaging pipelines and software.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to integrate algorithms into devices.
• Lead experimental testing, validation protocols, and publications or regulatory submissions as appropriate.
