Job summary

Medtronic plc in Tempe, Arizona, is seeking a Sr Manager Operational Excellence (OpEx) to lead continuous improvement across the manufacturing site. You will deploy the Medtronic Performance System, drive cost savings, and develop leaders to exceed KPIs.

This on-site role requires a bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in manufacturing or operations and 5+ years of supervisory experience; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years in manufacturing, operations, or OpEx.
• 5+ years of managerial experience or 5+ years with advanced degree.
• Experience in medical device or regulated industry is a plus.
• Strength in coaching, change management, and training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Guide, deploy, and execute the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) to support OpEx.
• Establish and maintain a site-wide culture of continuous improvement and operations excellence.
• Lead site-wide programmatic savings activities to reduce costs.
• Attract, coach, motivate, and develop direct reports and change agents.
• Collaborate to implement the site roadmap for MPS adoption and continuous improvement.
• Set site training strategy and milestones with cross-functional partners.
• Partner with site leadership to manage long-term vision and execution plans.
• Deliver annual improvements in performance and programmatic savings across Global Manufacturing and West Americas.
• Facilitate strategic kaizen events and transformational programs.
