Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Plymouth, MN, is seeking a Senior Operator to support the Structural Heart production area. Under supervision, you will help maintain a high-quality, continuous flow of manufacturing, acting as the lead in self-directed cells and coordinating with the supervisor to meet schedules.

You will coordinate production activities, train area operators, perform process and quality audits, and resolve issues to prevent recurrence in a clean-room environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in assembly of digital and analog circuitry/devices.
• Experience leading a team and directing workflow.
• Experience in a clean-room environment and reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production activity in assigned work areas to meet build schedules.
• Communicate work instructions to designated personnel per supervisor goals.
• Perform direct manufacturing operations as needed to support schedules.
• Conduct process and quality audits of personnel, tooling, and equipment.
• Provide training and feedback to area operators.
• Gather data for continuous improvement plans.
• Assist in expediting priority products and tasks.
• Inspect rejects and determine disposition per docs.
• Resolve issues to prevent recurrence.
