Job summary

Mann in Gastonia, NC is seeking a manufacturing operator to operate and maintain equipment, interpret drawings, and maintain QA records. You will support setup, routine maintenance, and process improvements while adhering to 5S/Kaizen practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and understand the required setup responsibilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of Work Instructions/Assembly Processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up, adjusting and operating machinery to produce goods according to specs.
• Support processing of manufacturing batches, including mechanical processing.
• Inspect and maintain machines, perform cleaning and routine maintenance.
• Monitor machine operation, perform repairs as needed.
• Identify problems and help optimize processes for troubleshooting.
• Record machine performance and QA data.
• Operate with safety requirements and keep a clean, safe area.
• Work with minimal supervision and be a team player.
• Overtime may be required; able to delegate tasks to operators.
• Demonstrate leadership and ability to grow as a department leader.
• Follow STOP, CALL, WAIT quality protocols and participate in continuous improvement.
