Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks an Operations and Training Manager for the Fort Wainwright Mission Training Complex in Alaska. You will serve as SME in brigade-level planning and exercise development, overseeing daily MTC operations and coordinating training support.

Responsibilities include scheduling resources, leading planning conferences, and supporting EXCON/Scenario/OC-T cells during events.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required; U.S. Army MEL IV qualified, equivalent ILE, or senior NCOES required
• Minimum five years’ experience with Military training and training support operations
• Five years of operations and training management experience at Brigade level and above
• Three years’ experience, within the last 10 years, with military simulations
• Robust understanding of the Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) and MTC Operations
• Technical expertise in the Joint Exercise Life Cycle
• Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of MC systems
• Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of Army and Joint training programs
• Expert knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
• Knowledge of and experience with emerging mission command technologies (MAVEN, TAK, WINTAK, AIDP)
• Security Clearance: SECRET clearance required
• Location: On Customer Site / moderate travel throughout Pacific AoR

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the FWA MTC
• Coordinate with MTC Government Operations POC/Director to relay training requirements
• Schedule and manage MTC resources and training requests
• Lead or participate in operations/ Exercise updates and staff meetings
• Plan or participate in event planning conferences (TC, IPCTs)
• Prepare briefings and materials; may join EXCON/Scenario/OC-T cells during events
• Leverage Mission Command Systems and training aids to support missions
• Teach, coach, and mentor junior staff and contractors
• Perform other duties as required
