Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an Operations and Training Manager for the Fort Wainwright Mission Training Complex in Alaska. The role requires SME-level Army operations planning and exercise development, with extensive experience in military training, simulations, and MDMP.

You will coordinate with government contacts, manage events, and use advanced Command and control systems. This position emphasizes leadership, scheduling, and stakeholder communication in a high‑tempo IT

Qualifications

• BS/BA required; MEL IV or equivalent ILE or senior NCOES preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience with Military training and training support operations.
• Five years of operations and training management at Brigade level and above.
• Three years’ experience with military simulations (last 10 years).
• Knowledge of Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) and MTC Operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Fort Wainwright MTC.
• Coordinate with Government Operations POC/Director on training needs and conflicts.
• Schedule and manage MTC resources and training requests.
• Lead or participate in operation updates and staff meetings.
• Contribute to Concept to Final Planning Conferences for assigned exercises.
• Support execution as EXCON/Scenario/OC-T cell as required.
• Leverage Mission Command Systems and simulations in training.
• Mentor less experienced staff/contractors.
• Perform other duties as required.
